CPSP 218E - Introduction to Environmental Ethics (Fall)

In this course, second-year ES students analyze and reflect upon the place of nature in human society and the place of humans in the non-human world and examine this nature/human relationship from various perspectives. We will also consider the bases for our perceptions concerning our responsibilities to the non-human world. Students will read, discuss, and write about personal and social values that influence our ideas about nature and determine the actions of individuals, organizations, and governments.
