In
this, the first of three colloquia in Environmental Studies, you
will (1) explore the nature of human relationships with built
and natural environments, and (2) evaluate several current environmental
issues from historical and modern perspectives. These goals will
be accomplished through a variety of learning activities; including
readings outside of class, discussions in plenary sessions and
small classes, critical reflection papers, and field trips.
